Campamento de verano ISI 2024 | Semana 5

The fifth week of the ISI-Dublin English language Summer Camp. 💪

Week five of the Summer Camp proved to be very exciting. The students continued to expand their knowledge of English knowledge as well as having an enjoyable and memorable time in Dublin.

On Monday our most recently enrolled students had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the city by going on a Scavenger Hunt around Grafton Street and Trinity College. This ensured that the students listened extra carefully during the orientation walking tour. Our victors from the newly arrived German group emerged victorious at Fusiliers Arch to receive their prize.

On Tuesday, we took the students to Phoenix Park for a game of football and exploring finding deer. The students were profoundly fortunate, as deer were spotted shortly after the trip to Phoenix Park. The students were mere inches away from the beautiful creatures. The students were also taken to the top of the Papal Cross to see panoramic views of the park.

On Wednesday, the students were taken to play sports in the gym. They were also allowed to have a dip in the pool. We then took the students out for the evening, bowling, which was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

On Thursday, the students returned to the Viking era at Dublinia. The students got to understand the Viking influence on Ireland, its history, and its culture. Following the museum, because it was such a sunny day, the students were allowed to relax in the gardens of St Patrick’s Cathedral.

On Friday the students once were able to journey back in time to the archaeology museum. They saw the excavations made by archaeologists that allowed society to understand its past. After dinner, we brought the students to a disco at MHL. The next day the students were up early to travel to Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland. They braved the wind and the rain to see the beautiful sights the North has to offer. It was a highly unique experience for the students to see the very tip of Ireland and its fascinating geographical surroundings. As one approaches the final two weeks of the Summer camp, one is reminded of the memories the students get to make during their time in Ireland. Let us hope they get to continue to make memories in the final two weeks of their time in Ireland.

From the summer camp team,
Enzo, Marc, Carlos, Andrei and Zeke
